The Opportunity The City of St. Albert is seeking to hire casual Labourers to join our Transit branch within the Public Operations Department.Key Responsibilities:• Refuel, servicing, vacuum, wash, and spot-clean Transit vehicles to maintain readiness.• Perform general cleaning and upkeeping duties within the Transit facility and yard, including grass cutting, snow removal and other tasks.• Safely drive, park, and assist in the maneuvering of transit buses within the Transit facility.• Operate a variety of equipment such as forklifts and floor sweepers, to support day-to-day operations. Qualifications • A valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license with fewer than six demerits is required; a Class 3 license and/or airbrake endorsement is preferred.• High school diploma combined with relevant work experience.• Physically capable of lifting up to 60 lbs. and working efficiently in a shop environment. Hours of Work Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday to FridayShift Times: 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM or 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Compensation $17.92 - $20.83 per hour Term Start immediately and work with us until October 31, 2025.
