The Opportunity

The City of St. Albert is seeking a dedicated permanent part time Revenue Services Coordinator to join our Financial & Strategic Services department.

Reporting to the Accountant III (Accounts Receivable), the successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting both external and internal clients through the acceptance of payments on account, accurate recording and safekeeping of payments, and providing information with respect to the City of St. Albert and the services it provides.

Specific responsibilities will include:
▪ Customer Service: acting as the first point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries related to accounts and city services, and providing information and support for payment processes.
▪ Cash Handling: operating the cash register to process payments for taxes, utilities, licensing, extra refuse tags, post-dated payments, transit passes/tickets, ambulance services, and general invoicing.
▪ Verifying: ensuring documents, deposits, receipts, and petty cash monies are recorded, balanced and accurate.
▪ Administrative duties: ordering supplies and clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with some post-secondary courses in Business/Accounting programs combined with a minimum of three (3) years in a revenue/accounting related field.
• Experience with customer service, cash handling and internal controls.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, along with a knowledge of financial software (e.g. Tempest, Agresso).
• General office equipment and computer knowledge.
• Strong interpersonal and time management skill.
• Excellent orientation towards customer service.

Hours of Work

This is a permanent part-time position working 54 hours bi-weekly, Monday to Friday. Please note additional hours may be required to cover for vacation periods.

Compensation

$30.28 - $36.17 per hour. In addition, the City of St. Albert offers a generous and comprehensive benefit package.
