The Opportunity

The City of St. Albert is recruiting 2 individuals to join our Recreation and Parks department as Recreation Leader 2’s to facilitate Bouncin’ Birthday Parties and supervise drop-in inflatable time starting in June 2025.

Servus Credit Union Place provides drop-in Bouncy Castle opportunities to its public and members in our Leisure Ice space from June-September. Recreation Leaders are responsible for setting-up, taking-down and conducting daily inspections of the bouncy castles, interacting with and supervising participants in the space, ensuring everyone is following the rules, the space is clean and safe, keeping accurate records, communicating with the program supervisor and other coleaders and Servus Place staff.

In coordination with the drop-in Bouncy Castle service, Servus Credit Union Place also hosts Bouncin’ Birthday Bash Bouncy Castle Parties on weekends. These parties are lead and supervised by upbeat, energetic, approachable, customer-focused Recreation Leaders. Along with the responsibilities of a Drop-in Inflatable Attendant, the Bouncin’ Birthday Recreation Leader is also responsible for leading small games and activities, assisting adults with party questions, problem solving, and checking Consent Forms.

Qualifications

• Current Standard First Aid and CPR C certification is required prior to starting.
• Applicants must possess strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills are necessary to address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
• A passion for creating a fun environment and delivering excellent service is essential.
• Experience using Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word.
• Reliable and dependable Team Player

Hours of Work

Drop-in Inflatable Shifts take place Weekday and Weekend mornings and afternoons for 2-4 hours.

Bouncin’ Birthday Parties take place Saturday afternoons for 3-4 hours.

Compensation

Starting at $17.47 per hour based on qualifications and experience.

Conditions of Employment

The successful applicant will be required to obtain a clear vulnerable sector police information check.
