The Opportunity

The City of St. Albert is recruiting an individual to join our Recreation and Parks department as a Stick and Puck/Shinny Attendant.

Stick and Puck and Shinny are two of our popular drop-in programs at Servus Place, available for members and the public year round.

As a Stick and Puck/Shinny Attendant you will be responsible for overseeing our drop-in Stick and Puck and Shinny programs for a wide range of ages. Your duties will include working alongside our Guest Services department to manage participant sign-in, monitoring play to ensure programs are safe, inclusive, and fun, and providing support and exceptional customer service to all participants.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a Recreation facility is an asset.
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR C with AED certification is required prior to starting.
• Applicants must possess strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills are necessary to address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
• Reliable, takas initiative, and thrives in working in a diverse environment.

Hours of Work

Shifts available starting late June 2025.
Weekday and weekend shifts include:

Saturdays: 12:30-4:30 pm and 7:15-9:30 pm
Sundays: 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:30-9:30 pm

Compensation

Starting at $17.47 per hour based on qualifications and experience.

Conditions of Employment

The successful applicant will be required to obtain a clear vulnerable sector police information check.
