The Opportunity The City of St. Albert Emergency Services Department is currently seeking a qualified and knowledgeable individual to join the Training Department in the position of Training Officer II. Reporting to the Chief Training Officer, this position is responsible for the coordination and delivery of emergency services training activities of the fire department. It will research, develop and deliver specialized technical knowledge through instruction, and evaluate individual demonstration and competency in fire suppression, rescue, emergency response and mitigation disciplines. It will deliver training courses and programs consistent with the accredited entity and the Accreditation and Certification Alberta NFPA Certification Program. Compensation Training Officer II$128,038.88 per annumTraining Officer I$116,588.25 per annum Conditions of Employment • The successful applicant will be required to obtain a satisfactory police information check.• The successful candidate must provide proof of educational and professional credentials.• A valid Class 5 Driver's license and a personal vehicle for work use are required.• This position is represented by the Union IAFF 2130, and the terms and conditions of employment are governed by the collective agreement between the Union and The City of St. Albert.
