The Opportunity:

It’s that time of year again! The Recreation & Parks Aquatics team is ready to fill a number of Water Play Park Attendant positions to work this summer at the Woodlands Water Play Park.

As a Water Play Park Attendant 1, you will:
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patrons, staff and volunteers.
• Educate the public on the facility policies and procedures related to their safety.
• Monitor the activities of the facility and conduct of patrons, emphasizing the prevention of accidents and injuries.
• Respond to emergency situations, and perform first aid when required.
• Greet patrons and ensure they are provided with any relevant information.
• Clean change rooms and the entire water park area.
• Complete daily operational checks and performs basic mechanical and operational tasks.

This position involves a lot of interaction with the public so applicants must have strong interpersonal and communications skills, and a commitment to delivering great service. We offer a flexible work schedule, mechanical training as well as other regular training opportunities, staff access to City facilities, and the chance to work alongside a great team.


• Standard First Aid (or equivalent), Oxygen Administration, CPR-C and AED Certification.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Previous aquatic experience as a Lifeguard or Waterslide Attendant is an asset.

Hours of Work:

Water Play Park Attendants must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends. A minimum of 10 hours per week is required.

The operating season is from Saturday, May 22 to Monday, September 6. Please be advised that Provincial restrictions may impact these dates.


$15.89 - $19.34 per hour

The successful applicant will be required to obtain (and/or maintain) a clear vulnerable sector police information check.
