The Opportunity:

The City of St. Albert is recruiting three individuals to join our Financial Services & Information Technology department as an Application Analyst.

Reporting to the Application Management Team Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the City’s operations through identification and documentation of business requirements, design, testing and implementing complex applications and related systems.
Key responsibilities of these positions will include but are not limited to:

Position One, Full Time Permanent
Maintaining and supporting our municipal land, utilities, taxation, licensing and permitting software. Duties include overseeing and implementing upgrades, maintaining interfaces to other applications, building, and supporting queries and reports, supporting user requests and issues, and other tasks that arise. Experience with Tempest is an asset for this role.

Position Two, Full Time Permanent
Maintaining and supporting our municipal financial software. Duties include overseeing and implementing upgrades, maintaining interfaces to other applications, building, and supporting queries and reports, supporting user requests and issues, and other tasks that arise.

Position Three, Full Time (3-year Term)
Implementing, maintaining, and supporting our Enterprise Asset Management and Maintenance Software project. You will work alongside the project team to assist in the implementation of this system and will be a key contributor to the technical analysis, design, and implementation of interfaces to other applications, build and support of queries and reports, support of user requests and issues, and other tasks that arise.

*Please note that the successful candidates may be assigned and reassigned within the three opportunities as deemed by the manager.

The individual we seek has knowledge in providing business analysis, configuration, integration, implementation, and management of a wide variety of business applications, data structures, workflows, web services, databases, and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Digital Media/ Design, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5 years progressive system experience. Experience with business analysis and/or GIS is an asset.
Certifications in Business Analysis (CBAP), Project Management (PMP or Prince2), business process improvement (DMAIC or 6 Sigma) or change management will be assets.
• A suitable combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Preference will be given to applicants that have experience in Municipal Government IT and related applications such as Tempest, ITIL Certification, and SharePoint Online

Hours of Work:

We offer a compressed schedule of 72 hours bi-weekly (Monday - Friday, 8:00 – 5:00 with a regular day off [RDO]).

Compensation:

$77,125 - $94,923 per annum. In addition, the City of St. Albert offers a comprehensive benefit package. A defined benefit pension plan is included for the two permanent opportunities.

REMOTE WORK
This position is designated for full-time remote work. Candidates must live within a commutable distance of 50 km and complete a remote work agreement to meet all policy requirements.
