The Opportunity We are seeking to hire a Corporate Performance Analyst to work in the Strategic Services branch of our Financial and Strategic Services department. The Corporate Performance Analyst plays a key role within the Strategic Framework, supporting several key processes, including, strategic and business planning, service improvement and optimization, performance measurement, reporting, data analytics and data governance. The Corporate Performance Analyst provides analytics services to the organization and departments to aid in making evidence-based and informed decisions, when solving business challenges, assessing opportunities and optimizing the performance of the organization, programs, services and processes. The Corporate Performance Analyst facilitates and/or supports the development of performance measurement program, corporate data analytics and business intelligence practices and processes across the organization, acts as the main point of contact for key corporate data sets and facilitates the internal Analytics Community of Practice. The Corporate Performance Analyst conducts research, analyzes and interprets data, conducts forecasts, and works with client departments to assist in delivering business and data intelligence services. We are looking for a self starter with a strong organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to build rapport with a wide variety of clients and manage complex projects. Qualifications • An undergraduate degree in Operations Management, Business, Economics or related field. A master’s degree in related field is an asset. • The ideal candidate will have at least five years experience in providing research and analytical support. Prior experience should include conducting quantitative analysis and forecasts, leading research that provides overviews of growing trends and emerging opportunities, developing performance measures, interpreting indicators and predicting trends, and developing reports and studies.• A combination of education and experience may be considered. • Fully conversant in the use of Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and SharePoint. • Basic knowledge of introductory programming. • Experience with or ability to learn data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or R.Programming skills for creating predictive models, performing analysis on structured data sets and data cleansing methods is required.• The ability to develop trend and forecasting models with primary data sets.• Experience creating predictive models, performing analysis on structured data sets and data cleansing. Hours of Work We offer a compressed schedule of 72 hours bi-weekly (Monday - Friday, 8:00 – 5:00 with a regular day off every two weeks). Remote Work: This position is designated for full-time remote work; however, given the nature of the role, there may be a requirement to attend meetings at a City facility from time to time. Candidates must live within Alberta and complete a remote work agreement to meet all policy requirements. Compensation $79,053 - $ 97,296 per annum. In addition, the City of St. Albert offers a generous and comprehensive flexible benefit package.
